There is so much I have to say. I couldn’t decide where to start, what to put in the middle and then how to end it in a witty remark. So I am just going to word vomit all over this post.

My personal style is evolving and I have documented none of it as of late. But I think that if you look at the outfit in this post, and then maybe just gander back to this post, you can see just how far I’ve come. I couldn’t be more excited for this evolution (so ridiculous I just called my personal style an evolution but, really, a personal style blog? So ridiculous). I know this change has come from my new job and feeling inspired in new ways daily. But I also think posting my outfits and studying what makes me feel best has also lent a hand. I am not preppy unless I try to be. I am not overtly feminine unless I try to be. But I am grungy, slouchy, edgy, boho and quirky as is. As is sounds just right these days.

My dad gave me his tripod months ago. This is my first foray in self photographing with it and I think the evidence is clear: these photos are better than my usual. Searching for a spot to take photos today outside of my driveway was fun. I feel renewed about the prospects of my blogging. Renewed!

This belt!

a lot of change (don’t be fooled. this title is deceiving)

These pants. Oooo these pants. The Charlie trouser is new to Anthropologie and let me just tell you something: they rock. my. world. I bought them slightly big so to make the “masculine” side of my style happy while still being clearly feminine and they have not yet disappointed. O ya- they come in a multitude of prints and colors. You’re welcome. (I swear this is not a sponsored post. I don’t think you can have sponsors when you don’t blog for months at a time. I just really love these pants.)

I haven’t self photographed in awhile. Focus is still a work in progress as literal work has all of mine right now.

A lot has changed since the last time I took outfit pictures. It snowed.

an unoriginal re-entry

Insert here what you are all thinking (and me too):

Ok. Let’s move on.

Fall is my favorite. I thought I would re-enter the blog world with the most unoriginal opinion that I possess. I succeeded.

While I am sure that hearing “fall is my favorite time of year” for the last 26 falls has convinced me that I too have the same opinion, that doesn’t matter at this point. Fall is definitely my favorite time of year. And not because of the pumpkin-flavored-everything phenomenon (there is even a pumpkin flavored butter spread this year. Anyone have reviews on this creation?!). It is because I can wear this outfit.

Hi readers!

achey, breaky feet

tshirt: gap/ pants, sandals, necklace: f21 (wow)

Realizing my outfit is comprised mostly of items from Forever 21 is embarrassing. I can’t quite place my finger on why but it is probably because I feel like I should really be thrifting more and because Vivienne makes me want to be a better person with posts like this and this and this. You really need to read those posts. And follow Vivienne from A Thrifted Shift. Really.

I’d also like to tell you all that my feet hurt. I have gone from sitting in a chair 8+ hours a day to running around on my poor feet for 8+ hours a day. I love the fact that I am moving now and busy at work and loving what I do but I do not love the aching of my feet. I had no idea what it was like to be on my feet all day. And now I do. So here is where you all come in. I need shoe suggestions. Know of any comfortable and cute yet supportive flats? Anyone?!

doing everything

shirt: anthropologie, old/ skirt: f21/ necklace: charming charlie/ flats: me too

I wore this outfit on my first day at my new job. Which, coincidentally, also marked the beginning of my absence from my blog and the blog world entirely. I won’t apologize (no I won’t!) because my real life is pretty amazing right now and sometimes, I can’t do everything. Even though I really think I can. O! And during my first week at my new job, we also renovated our kitchen. As in Matt renovated our kitchen with his dad while I cleaned around them and painted a few walls. And then on Saturday I hosted my biffle’s bridal shower. I think I take back what I just said: I can do everything. Except blog.

At this point you are all like, “Why hasn’t Hannah told us what her new job is? Why does she keep beating around the bush? Does she even have a new job, or is she just hiding in her house with her cats and pretending to renovate her kitchen?”

Without further adieu, here it goes (drum roll please!): I was hired by Anthropologie as an apparel manager! I can’t really express how awesome it is to be doing something I am passionate about for a company that is as equally as passionate. But I will express that everyday I get to be creative in an inspiring environment and it is rocking. my. world.
