Typical

blazer:h&m/shirt:h&m/pants:jcrew/wedges:express/belt:h&m

This morning was not the best of mornings for me:

1. I woke up late (typical).

2. We are currently renovating our kitchen. So I have no kitchen, in essence.

3. I did not plan my outfit last night (also typical).

4. This blazer that I realized I wanted to wear was nowhere to be found. Until I remembered it was in the “bring to the laundromat” bag in my car.

5. Due to number 4, I fitfully tried to iron the wrinkles out of this blazer. The outcome of said ironing is clear.  Am I sure I even ironed this bad boy?

So, this morning I got ONE outfit photo before diving into my station wagon and driving to work. Typical.

On the upside of things, today is my first participation in Everybody, Everywear! The challenge today was to wear a black and white outfit. I chose to add in some stripes, leopard and red into my version. Click the button below to see how others styled their black and white!

  1. I think this look is great even if you had to iron your jacket.

  2. Welcome to your first EBEW post! I hope you have a better day. If it helps, your shoes pop fantastically and your belt is a great way to break up the black and white :) .

  5. Super cute girl! I love the pop of red!

  6. I am glad I am not the only one who has taken something out of the cleaner pile and worn it!!
Love the addition of the red flats and the leopard belt with your neutrals.
Love your blog and your tattoos!

    • I realized after I wrote my post that I admitted to wearing something I previously thought needed to be dry cleaned. O well! We all do it, right? Thanks for stopping by!

  7. I love how you incorporated your personal style into basic black and white.

  8. This is a great, classic look – I like how you spiced it up with leopard and red.

I would love to hear from you! Comments make my day!
