I feel a bit Diane Keaton in Annie Hall in this get up. In actuality the only things similar are the vest and the fact that I am wearing a hat. Still, it is fun to feel like I am “playing dress up” today versus just wearing an outfit.
I have been battling a serious case of poison ivy for about a week and part of my win tactic is taking prescription prednisone (steriods). Let me tell you something, ladies. This stuff will make.you.weird. And not in the weird that I have recently talked about. No. Weird like my heart might beat out of my chest and I can’t focus on anything and my husband keeps feeling the need to ask me, “Are you okay?” I mean, I am okay. I’m just feeling…like I’m on steriods, I suppose?

This outfit is so cute!! Love it! and I know what you mean w the prednisone…i get poison ivy like 7 times a year because Ben works outside and he gets it and graciously passes it along to me! lol
That is so nice of Ben! What a giver! Haha.
You are looking so adorable in this outfit! And I would not be able to handle steriods, I can barely take antiobiotics without feeling weird.
xo, Yi-chia
Always Maylee
I can barely handle them! Thanks Yi-chia!
Before I even read your comment about the outfit being Annie Hall inspired, I was totally thinking it! Love that it is menswear inspired, but still really feminine.
O nice! That’s awesome I am not totally in left field in my thinking. Ha. Thanks for the compliments, Tashia!
I love this blouse! It’s so cute with the bow! The poison ivy sounds icky, I hope it gets better!
Thanks so much!
My mom has had to take that stuff before – she gets poison ivy regularly (thanks to “just one more batch of weeds” in the garden) and hates it! I hope you recover soon!
This is an outfit that works perfectly with a hat – I love the whole thing! I need more hats in my life.
Thanks so much! I only have a few hats but after this outfit- I think I need more too!!
Oh no, I hope the poison ivy clears up soon and you can stop taking the steroids!
I really adore those peep toe booties!

Thanks Sharon! These booties are so old but just kill it every time I wear them. Keepers!!
You look so cute – in a grown up way, of course! I always remember steroids made me feel pretty good – pretty “up”. But it’s been a while. Feel better!

Way up! Thanks Molly!
Oh, no, sorry about the steroids! I haven’t had poison ivy in years but I remember it not being fun.
What is fun? This awesome outfit. Those pants fit you just perfectly and your styling is just amazing.
Thanks Gracey. These pants are the best. Honestly. I always feel so good in them!
Every girl will always love playing dress up, no matter her age!
I love this outfit, it’s so cute. Haha, love the hat and heels especially!
And oh my, sorry about the poison ivy! I remember how annoying that was…hope you get better! The steroid medication doesn’t sound too fun :/

Thanks so much girls!!
Love those shoes! You look great despite feeling weird for various reasons…

Thanks!! Feeling weird won’t bring me down
This is an absolutely lovely outfit! I love how chic the black pants and booties look together. And I love the blouse. So sorry to hear about the poison ivy. That stuff is nothing but bad news. Get feeling better soon!

Thanks Callie! I am feeling better today.
that sucks! i had poison ivy on my face as a child, and the doctor told me to use dove soap, and it worked! but yes, steroids suck! your outfit, though, does not. i see the annie hall comparison, except your outfit is way better!
Dove soap, huh?! Never heard that one- I might have to try it the next time I get it. And better than Annie Hall? Thanks so much!!!
